Newly added to the lineup are, PXYx type that features the compact size, reasonable price and maximum load capacity of 4.5kg and HXYLx which has the maximum load capacity of 50kg and ability to carry the objects over a long process-to-process distance. Variations of nine types in all can meet customers' diverse requirements from assembly of small-size precision parts, sealing, tightening of screws and use in the clean rooms.

All models of YAMAHA robots use the completely absolute system as their standard specification. With the resolver which is a highly accurate and highly durable position detector adopted, it is no more necessary to perform operation to return to the origin, which requires time and trouble.

The maximum speed is further improved so as to reduce the cycle time. In the case of the ball screw drive type, the maximum speed is 1200mm/sec which means 20% improvement. In the case of the timing belt drive type, the maximum speed of 1875mm/sec., the highest level in the industry, is achieved and such high speed contributes largely to movement over a long distance.

Adoption of highly rigid frame provides high load capacity and permissible overhang.

As a built-in structure without coupling is used for the ball screw driven motor, the overall length is reduced, thereby reducing the dead space, contributing to space-saving.

Although a built-in structure is used, the motor, ball screws, etc. can be replaced independently for smooth maintenance.

While improving the basic functions, the number of parts is successfully reduced, achieving further cost reduction. Thus, the image that the absolute type is expensive is cleared.
